Learn about the evolution to DevSecOps

DevSecOps aims to move the organization to a better security posture. Watch our resident Senior Architect, Jared Ladner, describe the evolution of the Agile approach to DevSecOps.

While Agile development got teams working in a more frantic pace, there were still silos between teams. Understanding the drawbacks, teams turned to DevOps as the answer—integrating three functions: development, quality assurance, and operations.

While DevOps was a major shift to better alignment, DevSecOps isn't as big of a change if you already began to adopt DevOps. DevSecOps essentially highlights the importance of security across the development pipeline. It doesn't change the collaboration between Operations and Development. In DevOps, security can often be forgotten. DevSecOps changes this by giving security the priority that it deserves.
